Paper Roses Design is a boutique illustration and design house based in Hong Kong. Penny Creedon, the founder, is a Brit who has been living in Hong Kong for the past 13 plus years, specializes in creating beautiful and sometimes quirky greetings cards with many designs inspired by Chinese culture. Her hand-drawn illustrations start with a simple sketch outline before transferring them to watercolour paper and start painting. She then photographs the finished illustrations and uses digital software to place and size the artworks. Once everything’s polished and perfected - it’s time to press “go” on the final production run.

Paper Tiger Shanghai creates gift paper with designs to reflect the richness of Chinese traditional art Shanghai’s art deco period and Beijing’s hutong past. The deliberate mix of traditional and contemporary is coupled with the goal of making gift wrapping fun and expressive for the giver, and something special for the receiver. 

Born and raised in New York, Lucy has lived and worked in Asia since 1993, hopscotching among vibrant cities like Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing and now lives in Shanghai with her husband and two children. She founded Paper Tiger Shanghai in 2006 and distributes her collections of gift wrapping paper online and at select shops in Shanghai and Beijing.

Pinyin Press celebrates the unique and vibrant Chinese culture with detailed hand-drawn illustrations, prints and pattern, and quality craftsmanship.

Originally from Scotland, Sarah Armstrong graduated from Textile Design at Central Saint Martins. After experience working for designers in London and New York, she relocated to Shanghai in 2009 to work as a Designer for Shang Xia. Inspired by Shanghai’s unique charm and culture she founded Pinyin Press in 2014, and creates apparel, homeware and gift items featuring local cultural symbols.

Pithy Apothecary is a Vancouver natural skin care brand that uses Traditional Chinese Medicine principles. The company is run by four Chinese Canadian women who firmly believe your skin is changed from within. Pithy Apothecary uses the time-honoured traditional ingredients and recipes to promote the flow of qi and to maintain the yin-yang balance for health and wellness.

Playful Socks' journey began in Hong Kong in 2018, with the common goal between four youngsters to bring joy and playfulness to the ordinary - to give people a reason to smile. 

Designing unique socks is what makes Playful Socks great. Operating with a core belief that we "Do Whatever It Takes" to stay true to ourselves and to embrace who you are. Each design is meant to embrace culture, our surroundings and passions. 

Founder Claire Yates comes from a family of paper merchants. In 2013, she decided to put her own spin on the family business and launched The Lion Rock Press: a go-to for eco-friendly, Hong Kong-themed premium stationery and gifts. Since then, her business has expanded from a tiny stall at a Christmas fair to one of the most coveted stationery brands in Hong Kong. 

Claire's mother’s side of the family is Hong Kong Chinese, while her father’s side hails from Birmingham, England. The designs creatively explore these two cultures through the medium of printed stationery. Their greeting cards fuse HK-style graphics with very Western humour. Her great-grandfather founded their paper business almost 120 years ago and her 90 year-old grandfather and his brothers still work every day in the office.

This Time It’s You is a greeting card brand from Toronto started by four friends in Feb 2019. They pride themselves on designing fun and quirky cards that will make you laugh.
