Some traditions are different with different cultures and in our family we celebrate New Year's on a different day every year. Lunar New Year's is celebrated yearly on a day in February, but it changes each year based on the lunar calendar.
Paper lanterns is a symbolic symbol used at special occasions such as this. The lanterns in different colours mean different things. Red for wealth, fame and prosperity and yellow for good luck.
