EMPTY DOM REMOVE PROTECTOR

Between the 1940s and 1970s, legally registered gambling clubs thrived in Chinatown, attracting a multicultural clientele. To minimize police raids, club proprietors cultivated goodwill by hosting Friday-night dinners for law enforcement at the Ho Ho Restaurant.

Discover the hidden stories of Vancouver’s Chinatown and surrounding neighbourhoods through VITALITY, a unique exhibition that blends Fred Herzog’s iconic photography with compelling narratives that celebrate the enduring spirit of this historic neighborhood.
