Description & Details
Chinatown’s revitalization has been a topic of conversation among local media for years. Differing opinions about development and social initiatives have been ongoing, with often heated discussions about legacy, affordability, and cultural preservation.
These important conversations are crucial to the future of Chinatown, and empowering and engaging our young voices is imperative to create a collective future for our beloved community.
168 is a magazine for local youth (grades 9-12) to share their creativity, stories, and dreams for the future of Chinatown. Through captivating youth-created content, photography, and thought-provoking artwork, we collaboratively celebrate the vibrant tapestry of this community. Partnered with The Chinatown Storytelling Centre and spearheaded by Blake Abbie, an artist and editor based in Chinatown.
